Tabriz in Iran

I'm coming to Tabriz from Gilan by bus and it was about 8 hours to get there. I arrived at the city center and I was pretty surprised that almost every shop was closed.

As I remember shoppings open about 10:00 am.

I would like to have one also please !

I found a host on Couchsurfing and he brings me at Tabriz Grand Bazaar to have breakfast.

Shall I begin ?

I'm again in a remarkable mosque.

You know that, Tabriz's carpets have unique quality and it's really famous in the world.

Miyav !

Symbol of Zoroastrianism is almost every corner of Iran.

Inside of mosques just show you unbelievable art.

It's Constitution House of Tabriz. Well, what welcomes you there is of course history but it might be boring for you because of it's written only in Persian.

I've no idea what they talk about but it seems interesting.

As a Turk, I'm visiting at Istanbul Historical Gate.

Parks are almost every part of city. It's Golestan Garden.

Let's eat Tabriz meatball for lunch or as locals say Təbriz küftəsi.

This is symbol of resistance over 700 years and  it's called Arg Alishah of Tabriz. There's an enormous kind of wall that's related to Ilkhanid period. Most of it has been destroyed by silly mistakes.

I asked to a local for Azerbaijanese what happened to left of this remarkable building ? and he said that,
- Brother, you see this Imam Khomeini Mosalla where is left of this ?
-Yes, I see.
- This is the reason there's no more of this.

There's a museum around there where you can learn interesting things about Tabriz.

You can buy souvenirs right there.

His name is Shayriyyar and was born in Tabriz. He's really famous a Turk poet and his "Haydar Baba" poetry became crown of hearts in Turkic countries.

I made a local friend there and we're heading to Shah Goli (Shah Lake). It's main park of Tabriz.

It's worthy to visit there and surrounded by old trees.

But notice that, at nights it may gets crowded. Other hand you can eat in the cafe.

For today is enough. See you then.

Second Day

I'm having breakfast with my host.

Around Blue Mosque there're some museums to visit.

This reminds me the glory days....

Folk of Tabriz are Azerbaijanis.

I really love Persian poetries and a piece of it's written on my t-shirt.

Let's go to Kandovan where people live in an ancient village.

It takes an hour from city center to there by taxi.
When I was there 1 litr water was more expensive than petrol.

It's worthy to visit right there.

It was pretty hard to say goodbye to you but take care of yourself :)

Van in Turkey

I met a Turkish citizen in Tabriz and he invited me to Van. To be honest I didn't plan to go to Van from Tabriz but suddenly decide...
